The Crottotype, for clean services
Hooked under the buttocks, the Crottotype allows an animal to move around in a protected environment – parks, gardens, pedestrian streets – without leaving any trace of its passage.
Please note: the Crottotype is currently only sold as a donkey model. A goat model and a horse model will soon be available.

The straps
The Crottotype is held in place by 4 nylon straps. If the Crottotype is worn alone, without a pack-saddle, the straps must be attached to a withstring placed behind the withers. The 4 straps are adjustable.
The two lower straps, which hold the bag, are attached halfway up the withers. The two upper straps, which enclose the tail, meet at the round of the buttock, forming a single strap which follows the line of the back and is attached to the top of the withstring.

The withstring
The surfaix is a wide leather belt, positioned behind the withers, around the animal’s body, to which straps can be attached. In acrobatic riding, this is where riders stand when performing figures.
The straps of the Crottotype are attached to the withstring, with a certain amount of tension to keep the bag flat against the buttocks.
Please note: the withstring is not included in the price of the Crottotype. It must be purchased separately in the Shop.

The Crottotype with a carriage
The Crottotype can also be fitted to a carriage.
The bag is positioned over the breeching and the straps are attached to the various parts of the carriage (stretchers, harness, back line, etc.).
The photo shows the Crottotype in position with the stretcher of an Escargoline.
The colour
The Crottotype is available in a range of colours, depending on whether you want it to match your donkey’s coat or, on the contrary, make it very eye-catching to raise public awareness of your approach: beige, brown and fluorescent orange. Write your choice in the comments field when you place your order.
We’ll be happy to accommodate your choice, subject to availability.
