We have about ten Balissandre saddles left in size XS.
We have decided not to launch a new production run. Cutting and constructing a very small saddle is like sewing a child’s shoe. It is time-consuming, meticulous and complicated, with a lot of waste during the various cutting stages. It will inevitably be sold at a lower price due to its size, but its cost price will be much higher than its big brothers, the Balissandre in sizes S and M.
That is why it is on sale from January 2026 until stocks are exhausted.
An XS Balissandre will fit a small donkey with a height at the withers between 100 and 115 cm. But what matters most is the width of its belly, as the Balissandre has 4 width-adjustable hoops. Given the thickness of the mat, the front measurement should be between 25 and 34 cm. At the back, it should be between 31 and 41 cm. Beyond these measurements, you will need to move up to size S packsaddles.
The carrying surface of the Balissandre XS’s four mobile pads is 480 cm², which makes it very comfortable for the animal to work with.
The Balissandre XS’s leather harness is cream-coloured, which goes perfectly with the blonde ash wood.
